Lumencraft LED conversions for Maglite are awesome. Simple change using high quality parts offers amazing results. The 325 Lumen Firefly 2-6 cell conversion is perfect for normal use around the house.
I decided to upgrade my daughters old 2 D cell for emergency car use. The parts fit was spot on. The outcome was so much better then I expected. At 60-70 feet a nice large bright hot spot with ample spill, so much more inproved over factory. Adjustable focus was still there but much improved lighting, the donut hole still apears with over adjustment.
If your on the fence and not sure about upgrading your old Maglite? There is no down side when you get you parts from Lumencraft. FYI include the glass lens and rechargeable batteries, best performance for the dollar.
Did my 2-cell that fits in my camper first and was happy so bought another and did my 3-cell. Much brighter than the incandescent lamp.
i use this with lumencraft's 2x26650 battery conversion in a 4d maglite. it is easy to replace the bulb and battery life is great. it also retains the ability to zoom in and out. it is nowheere near as bright as the new led flashlights that claim to put out 20,000 lumens, but those eat up the 2x26650 batteries after about 60 minutes of use (at least the two i ordered and subsequently returned). i use my flashlight for about 10 minutes total every day when letting the dog out and charge the batteries after about 4 months. i can easily light up trees 100 yards away. the only negative is the light has a slight yellowish green tint.
i think the reviews that say the light is dim are probably using 2d maglites. on his youtube video, lumencraft states that these are made for 3d - 6d size maglites. this bulb will work in 2d, but with diminished light output
My 2 cell maglite was sitting unused since every LED flashlight I have produces so much more light. I installed the 325 lumen Firefly bulb in about 60 seconds and now have another LED flashlight with the high quality of a Maglight. Glad I made the purchase!
Very easy to upgrade. I have now brought my 3 Mag Light flashlights up to current LED lighting standards, with much longer use life. I have 4 & 5 D cell batteries. ??

Put it on a forty year old 2 C Maglite that’s been around the world and the brightness is great, the batteries last longer and it seems durable. (Dropped from waist height and still working. )
Would buy again if I had another old maglite.

Installs as easy as changing a light bulb. Noticeably brighter than the first gen LED replacement it replaced in my 3D light. Hugely brighter than the original incandescent.
This is a good compromise for price vs replacing the whole light mechanism AND it retains backwards compatibility with incandescent and 1st gen LED bulbs for the preppers out there.

Turned an old 4 cell D mag into a workhorse and the first light I grab around the house (Mostly because its big enough my kids can't lose it)
Very happy with the purchase. The bulb was brighter than the old one and with the ease of the replacement I am looking forward to using my trusty mag lite again you will really like this.
This throws light, not like the dissipating LEDs of old. Nice bright white light that you can focus. Great throw of focused beam with ample castoff light. I added the dual 26650 battery conversion with this LED. Easy to install. Maglite on steroids. Worthy!
PS - I haven't gotten it wet, so I can't address the water resistance, but it IS a Maglite with all the seals.
I had a 20 year old 2 D cell battery flashlight. I call it the home defense flashlight because of it's heft. This conversion kit replaced both the bulb and the lens cover. The improvement is amazing. The light is super bright now and way more effective. No regrets at all with this kit.
Definitely upgraded the quality of the light. Not only it's bulletproof but super brite now.

Better than exspected
This LED upgrade has made my 6 D cell Maglite change from a club back into a useful flashlight.
The beam is adjustable and 300 lumens brings the flashlight back to life.
I had an older light that needed a new lens and bulb, I purchased this and have a new life for my large flashlight
Quick delivery , easy to convert and bright
MUCH brighter than incandescent Krypton or Xenon bulbs. And the glass lens fits up like standard equipment, and is a no-brainer for light transmission.
I can't review on battery life, but LEDs are supposed to use far less energy.
I had an old 3 cell mag light with incandescent bulb. I need a led light and new lens. This worked perfectly. Took about 2 minutes to install. Super bright light. Very happy with purchase.

Don’t hesitate to purchase to upgrade your mag lite. My mag lite was a gift from my father and we lost him last year and I can tell you he would’ve loved this LED upgrade.

Arrived as scheduled in good condition. Was easy to install and is significantly brighter than the old incandescent bulb. Can't comment on battery life or water resistance as those issues haven't come up yet.
i feel this product is everything it was advertised to be......very satisfied.
Bought this to replace the original bulb that came with my Maglite. Had the flashlight for years but with new led lights was unhappy with the brightness and the yellow color. After installing the new bulb, it is brighter and has white light. The bulb was a drop in replacement. Would buy again.
